The key to this device is that every time you turn your hot water tap on, EcoVerta automatically diverts the “cold” hot water that normally flows down the drain while you wait for the hot water to arrive. In the average home annual savings of the order of up to 10% can be achieved.

EcoVerta is suitable for use with conventional dual tap mixer outlets in a single location. As it is fitted “downstream” of the tap, it is only under mains pressure when the tap is opened. The unit is very compact and is ideally installed under a sink in kitchen or bathroom. It operates in any position, angle or orientation, is weatherproof and can also be mounted externally*, if required.

Once installed, EcoVerta functions seamlessly in the background saving precious fresh water, there is nothing additional for you to do except wait a moment for hot water to run from your outlet as you would anyway, and all this powered solely by the energy contained in the flowing water. It’s that simple..! It works with any hot water heater and existing water saving devices. It is an ideal solution in rural locations where water conservation is of the highest importance.

Because EcoVerta requires no external source of power, it can be used in any country or region. It is seamless in design and function requiring virtually no maintenance† throughout the long service life. Ideal in a situation where bathroom, kitchen or laundry are distant from the water heater, and where significant water loss occurs before hot water arrives at the outlet. It is particularly valuable when used in conjunction with continuous flow water heaters that frequently have a long delay in hot water delivery.

EcoVerta diverts the water at mains pressure during the saving cycle and because of this the recovered water can be used for many applications requiring pressure (See here for examples) or simply transferred to a storage tank, all automatically and without the need for switches, wiring, pumps or other energy requirement.

EcoVerta minimizes the often unconsidered expense of treating clean unused water that is otherwise sent to treatment systems. This, in turn, equates to less greenhouse gas emissions and significant savings on infrastructure and costs.
